Recognition of prior learning

The recognition of prior learning (RPL), i.e. of the results of non-formal and informal learning has increasingly come into focus in the international and national discussion, especially in connection with lifelong learning. AQ Austria took up this topic in 2014 and has since been working in several projects and together with several Austrian higher education institutions on how procedures for the recognition and crediting of non-formally and informally acquired competences can be designed in a quality-assured manner.

 

On this website we would like to provide you with information on current developments, on the basics of recognition of non-formally and informally acquired competences and inform you about events. Unfortunately, we cannot offer all information in English.
